This is a church founded by Ami's grandmother. That's a picture of her on the top on the left. She's founded 4 others like it and her son, Ami's dad, has founded 10 more. Quite a spiritual heritage I've married into! Below is the whole Park family that is in Korea right now, excluding the bald man beside Ami's dad, who is the church's pastor.
This here is one of the coolest gifts I have received. We went to visit Ami's uncle, who is an antique dealer, yesterday and he showed me some of his stuff. When he saw I was very interested in history, he decided he would give me a gift. This here is a ceramic pot that's been in the Park family for 4 generations. It belonged to Ami's great, great grandmother. He said he figured I'd appreciate it more than anyone else. It' s going to be tricky bringing it in the carry on, but well worth it!
The whole family fanned out on a public beach to collect clams and other shellfish. Our youngest Korean nephew Joon Young helps out by dumping the basket everytime we collect something~~!
Ami's grandma rarely stands up, she just scoots around on the floor, so this is her real height.
